A special visitor

A couple weeks ago we were blessed by a visit from Tyson's mom. It was so special to be able to share some of our experiences with her. It is sometimes hard to put into words what it is like here, what we are doing and experiencing...so it was great to show someone first hand! She was able to meet our wonderful host family, spend time with our 40/40 crew, go to our church, experience taxis, see some of the famous sights in Arequipa, see the countryside on horseback and experience a bull fight (where two bulls fight each other and none are killed:) And best of all she was able to spend lots of time with Kai who was beyond excited to spend time with his Boppa! It is hard that Kai is away from family for two years and so this time with his grandma was very precious!
We were able to see some of the countryside outside of Arequipa...it was beautiful and so interesting to learn more about the history of the area...we saw andenes (terraces) made by the Incans!
Kai loved riding horses and was extremely comfortable...so comfortable he fell asleep!

Thank you for coming to visit Boppa..we can't wait for the next one:)
